I started tuning and re-skinning djembes for fellow students at the City College of San Francisco back in the early 2000s. I have since been doing it on my own. I have tuned and re-skinned a number of drums over the years from ashikos to djembes, congas, and even bongos. Below is a simple table as what my fees are and the various skin types offered. Prices have not changed since I started on yelp back in 2013.

African Calf Skin Thicker skin with a warmer sound that can be used for djembes, ashikos, and dununs and can be stretched tighter than goat and played with sticks $125
Pakistani Calf Skin Used for bongos and congas $80
Ordered goat skins Pre-mounted - These are skins purchased from a music store that have been pre-sized and fitted to a ring at a factory, Unmounted - Theses are skins that are not pre-sized or fitted to a ring. $25(lug tuned pre-mounted), $50(rope tuned pre-mounted), $75(rope tuned - unmounted) + skin cost(prices vary)
Rope replacement If your rope is deemed too fragile or if you wish to just replace the rope all together, I have nylon core pure black djembe rope. $20
Tuning I can retune both mechanically lug tuned drums or rope tuned I offer free lug tuning and rope tuning (including repulling the verticles) for $25(free with proof of previous service)
I will also try to make the skins as smooth as possible and rub in a layer of shea butter. I will also fix minor shell cracks or blemeshes. 10% discount for teachers and/or students with school ID. 20% off of multiple repairs.
