I started tuning and re-skinning djembes for fellow students at the City College of San Francisco back in the early 2000s. I have since been doing it on my own. I have tuned and re-skinned a number of drums over the years from ashikos to djembes, congas, and even bongos. Below is a simple table as what my fees are and the various skin types offered. Prices have not changed since I started on yelp back in 2013.

Thin Goat Skin Thin skin that are used on djembes and ashikos under 10 inches $85 for under 10 inch drums
Medium Goat Skin from the Ivory Coast Medium thickness goat skin that are used on medium to large djembes and ashikos 10-15 inches $130 for 10-15 inch drums
Medium Calf Skin Medium thickness calfskin with a mellow sound that can be used for djembes and ashikos $110
Thick Calf Skin Thick skin for drums played with sticks $125
Mounted goat skins These are skins purchased from a music store that have been pre-sized and fitted to a ring at a factory. $25 + head price(lug tuned mounted), $50 + head price(rope tuned mounted)
Bongo and Conga head replacements I will replace bongo and conga heads either mounted or putting on new cow/calf skins $25 + head price(mounted), $100(reskinning with new cow skins)
Rope replacement If your rope is deemed too fragile or if you wish to just replace the rope all together, I have nylon core pure black djembe rope. $20
Ring replacement If your rings have been bent out of shape or if you wish to replace the djembe rings i will replace the flesh ring, cradle ring, and/or bottom ring $17 per ring
Tuning I can retune both mechanically lug tuned drums or rope tuned I offer lug tuning and rope tuning (including repulling the verticles) for $25(free with proof of previous service)
I will also try to make the skins as smooth as possible and rub in a layer of shea butter. I will also fix minor shell cracks or blemeshes. 10% discount for teachers and/or students with school ID. 20% off of multiple repairs.
